Sammy's Cottage

This little cottage nestled into a wooded neighborhood was perfect for what I needed to do for the week. Convenient to the pier. Was able to make it like home for a week of a combination of work and fun. Everything was comfortable, and although there are neighbors, it still felt like there was plenty of space (nice back porch and backyard). It is very close to the airport, which might bother some folks, but the noise was only sporadic and as a former military member, it didn't bother me. Really enjoyed my stay, and as always, Real Escapes did a fantastic job with all of the administrative communications to make check in and check out very easy.

My fiancé, parents and I had a wonderful weekend in the cottage and bopping around the island. We're getting married in SSI in December and this was the perfect location to get around everywhere quickly, and a comfortable home to come back to after days of meetings and decision making. It was dog friendly and our pups loved getting to explore the island with us. Thanks!

Perfection! Adorable roomy cottage, equipped with everything we needed... clean, no doggy smells or doghair , most selcoming to our pooch, large backyard ... comfy beds... a pleasure to come back home to at the end of the day, delightfully decorated!

Easy check in. The house was located close so close to the village pier shopping I could have easily walked. Cozy house in a nice neighborhood.

The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and extremely convenient to everything we did on St. Simons. Communication was very easy with management and we had no problems at all during our stay. It is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood with neighbors who wave as you drive down the street. I would recommend this house for couples and families and their dogs!

We had a wonderful time staying at Sammy's Cottage last week. We just had a few nit picking things happen. Like our first evening there the smoke detector starting going off in our bedroom atpund 1am scared us out of our sleep. We hadn't used the microwave, stove or anything that evening also. Second, the water pressure is the bathroom shower was alittle slow. Sometimes I felt like all the soap wasn't getting out of my hair. Lastly, the bee's nest under the front porch awning. Not a problem it's nature I was just worried being allergic. Other than those few little things we very much enjoyed our stay.

Thie cottage was perfect for the two of us and our 2 pets. It is nicely decorated and well-equipped. The location is convenient -- a short drive to town and to beach. It has a nice large yard. The location is mostly quiet; although it is near the general aviation airport runway and takeoffs are audible, they are not frequent and occur mostly morning and late afternoon. We would definitely stay here again.

Our second year at Sammy's Cottage and have enjoyed our stay there each time. Quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and a great place to walk our dog, Chance. Coming back again.

We had a wonderful experience as always. The house was spacious for a family of four. The backyard is bigger than described. The kids enjoyed watching planes take off.

This little cottage is very clean inside and out, that means the place inside is very clean the outside yard in the property was very clean. Do not worry about the airport runway. Very minimum of traffic of planes and inside we very seldom even heard anything. Overall this place was clean very comfortable and fit our needs. Cooking where loads of everything. Towels toiletry everything you need. Above all you are five minutes away from downtown five minutes away from the closest supermarket. And when we came back the neighborhood was so quiet. it just made everything fit our needs. We have a little dog the backyard was big enough so that we could play and the backyard was very clean very well kept up. We were very comfortable while we stayed here.

Reason for our trip was spend time together as family. My husband passed away after a very short illness with cancer within 25 days of finding out he had cancer he passed away. Our family needed this time away to relax grief together. This house was the perfect place for us to do just that. Yes we would rent Sammy's Cottage again.

The beds were excellent. We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was amazing. Super quick. Loved the location.

So cozy! Everything you need to set up housekeeping for the week. In a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Nice big, back yard. Very clean and a super comfy bed! Wonderful customer service too! This property is located behind the airport which is why I gave location a 4. It's not too bothersome, but I'm mentioning it for someone who may not want to be so close.

Friends who come to SSI yearly convinced us to try it. We loved the island, the Pier Village, beaches, and, of course, the restaurants.we chose Sammy’s Cottage because we had our 12 year old Golden Retriever, Roxanne, with us. Th3 Cottage was clean, comfortable, and close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. About .7 miles. I would say the only downside was proximity to the airport. When some of the jets took off, it was fairly loud. But after a while, the sound of the planes went unnoticed.

The cottage was perfectly located and a comfortable place to stay. Would rent again

This is a nicely renovated, clean and well kept cottage with a huge yard and privacy. We had a great stay, the bed was super soft and the house was well equipped for cooking & BBQ’ing.

We rented Sammy's Cottage sight unseen for our visit for the Golf Tournament in November. The cottage was well appointed and very comfortable. We rode our bicycles to the village, East Beach and even did or grocery shopping by bicycle. We were so pleased with the cottage, its location and the friendly neighbors.

We had a fabulous long weekend at Sammy's cottage! Beautifully appointed, very "Wes Anderson" - will book again!

We have been renting our vacation homes for the last 9 years from Real Escapes and will continue to give them our business. The staff does a great job and they have several quality properties to choose from. We recommend them for your vacation needs. This house was a joy. It was nicely kept and had all the amenities. We really liked the back porch, grill and yard where we could enjoy sunsets in the evenings.

Lovely, well equipped and cozy. Very clean & furniture in good condition. We locked ourselves out “twice” and property managers were there within minutes!!

I love this little house! It was super clean and decorated just the way I had hoped! We were very comfortable and will come back.

Prior to this stay we had never heard of St. Simon Island. We stopped along the way as we moved to Atlanta. It was a fantastic experience from the moment we spoke to the people at Real Escapes to the moment we left. The cottage was lovely and fully stocked with everything we needed. We had our dogs with us and it was very dog friendly but in no way smelled of dogs. The neighborhood was great and the walk into town was truly lovely with all the trees and homes along the way. The pier area is where we spent most of our time and it was really great. The food, the shopping and the people were a delight. Will be back again and again for sure.

A very nice, cozy rental. However, it is located next to a very busy was not a major issue for us, but I think it should be disclosed to potential renters.
