The condo is very well appointed and clean. It is small without a master bathroom but manageable. The rental agency was quick to address a frozen ice maker.

The Gilly is amazing. Close to everything including the beach. Fully stocked home with beautiful decor and comfortable beds and furniture. The prettiest place I have ever stayed in. The owner spared no expense for this home. Sparkling clean too. You will not be disappointed . We will be going again very soon.

We enjoyed our stay at The Gilly. Everything we needed was provided, above and beyond regular rentals. It was especially nice to have the chairs, towels, umbrella, and a cart to take them to the Beach!

We stayed here July 4 weekend and cannot recommend it enough! The house was incredibly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was fantastic. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was included plus a lot of additional items to make us feel at home. The owner was very communicative and responded to any questions immediately.

This home is very well appointed, clean, and stocked with all of the essentials. The beds were very comfortable, oversized towels top of the line and the patio was the perfect private spot for our morning coffee. The location was very convenient to shops and restaurants with a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend this property!

We found the Gilly very clean abd very well appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well supplied with quality products. There was a problem initially with the king bed but it was quickly rectified by the realtor. Both beds were very comfortable.We found the location to be very suitable for our needs of easy beach access,and close proximity to the village.

The Gilly was not only the best place we have stayed on SSi, but among the best places we have ever rented anywhere. The location is perfect. We were a short 5-10 min. walk to the beach and short drives to all SSI has to offer. The place was clean and well maintained. Most places we have rented has the basic necessities for a stay such as coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots.. ect. The Gilly had had all high end manufactures. There was a Smeg coffee maker, toaster and water kettle for tea. They had a Yeti cooler to use for the beach. Fine Turkish robes and luxurious towels. Pretty much anything you could want on vacation they had it. The only downside is that we were having so much fun exploring we did not get to spend a lot of time at the Gilly. If there is a next time we will certainly be staying again.

It had everything we needed and more. Would highly recommend. Real Escapes were always prompt and courteous when making the reservation. Great trips! Thank you!

This was the cleanest and most accommodating place we've ever stayed. We lived all the extras that most places don't think of. Alexa's in every room, Apple Charging stations,extra blankets and pillows, "just in case you forgot" items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. Not too far to the beach, either.

This was my second trip staying at The Gilly. What a quaint place to stay! I love it! It has everything you might want or need. It is so clean, remarkable decor, sweet gifts and surprises.... It is a very short walk to the beach. A great place to ease your woes , recharge, relax and unwind!

The Gilly was everything we expected and more. The location was perfect. The place made us feel right at home while we were on a great vacation. They have all the extra touches to make you feel special.

It was a wonderful rental with everything we could ever need. We appreciated the great attention to detail. The most important thing for us is staying in a place that is clean and this place exceeded our expectations.

We absolutely love the Gilly! This is our second stay at this wonderful, luxuriously appointed rental. The first time was in September of 2019. We wanted to come back in 2020, but COVID and the rigors of our health care jobs prevented that. We were so delighted to come back in September 2021 and found the Gilly to be what we hoped for and more! Loved the patio, grill, walking distance to beach and restaurants, and it was such a comfortable place to land after our adventures to Cumberland Island and Jekyll Island. The unit was very cozy with beautiful furnishings. Very tastefully renovated. I had another unit in the development rented for other family members, this unit was by far was the best of the 2.

Our 2nd time staying at The Gilly, and it did not disappoint! Great location with an easy 3 minute walk to the beach. Walking distance of several restaurants and only a little over a mile from 'downtown' St. Simons. Downtown is also an easy walk if up for the distance. The unit itself is fully stocked with EVERYTHING you might need, including Starbucks K-Cups, beach towels and beach chairs, and anything else you could need. It is recently renovated and the interior is beautiful and lovely & comfortable furnishings. It also has a nice back-porch with patio table. Overall, great place, especially for the price!

Our first time there in saint simon island, we had great a great place to stay at for my birthday. The place was quiet and relaxing and not far from the beach. The bedrooms had comfortable bed and up to date on television. Kitchen had everything that we needed and patio was our favorite spot to hangout. Thank you for sharing this location with us, Vonn

This house was perfect for the long weekend that we had

We walked into the Gilly and both said “WOW”. Such an inviting decor, coastal with restraint. The unit had all we needed in the kitchen, the common area, bedrooms and bath. Loved the bed and bath linens. The patio became the best reading room with its privacy fence, lush greenery and cool breezes. So happy to find the beach just three turns from the front door. I found the best time for my beach experience was from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. One of our fun experiences was learning how to navigate the traffic circles even though “missing” our exit did afford us more sightseeing opportunities! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the WW11 museum. The displays were so attractive and informative. We never knew how important St. Simons and Brunswick were to the war effort. As for eating out, we saw lots of interesting places but only made it to Southern Barbecue; Yummy, especially the brisket. Put this family vacation spot on your calendar, the “better than expected” vacation place.

This was our second year at The Gilly and we are signed up for 7 weeks next year. The condo has been recently redone and quite tastefully ! It is very well stocked~ kitchen, bath, linens. There is a lovely patio/deck off the back and we spent a fair amount of time out there. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes or so and from there you can walk into the village and pier or to Gould's inlet~approximately 1 1/2 miles each way ( at low tide when headed into town).The neighborhood is quiet and tucked away between larger properties. Great neighbor!
This year we discovered Fiddler's restaurant , an easy walk from the condo and delicious food. It is quite busy so we tried to go off peak.
Real Escapes is very helpful, especially Brooke, and we experienced no problems. We did find the digital lock to be temperamental but found a gentle touch and slight tugging on the door handle was helpful.

The Gilly was a perfect spot for us to get away for a few days. Short walk to the beach, quiet enough to allow us to work, and great restaurants. The management company was great to work with, and the property was spotless when we arrived.

The Gilly is just as lovely in person as in the photos. It was immaculately clean and everything we needed was there, just as described. Be sure to read the welcome book to learn the fastest way to walk to the beach (which is awesome, of course) and to use the local restaurant delivery service (which was also awesome).The Gilly is quiet, in a great location, and very relaxing.

We loved this place. There was a lot of thought that went into the decor and remodel. It was beautifully done and beautifully appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

we loved St Simons, loved the location, liked the accommodations and the complete preparation for our visit. i did not love the comfort of the sofa, or that there were a few stains on the white covers, but overall the unit was very clean

We took a long weekend girls trip and stayed at this super cute little place. We really enjoyed the location. The decor was very pretty. I would absolutely stay here again. My only suggestion would be to treat the area in front of the condo with pesticides. There is an ant colony somewhere. I discovered my SUV had been totally taken over by ants the morning after we arrived. I am still trying to get rid of them and my car was completely clean when we arrived lol! Overall, extremely lovely place. Very clean. Management was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

Every detail was perfect. Clean comfortable and well stocked. Great location close to beach. But the best was the 4 really nice beach chairs, the umbrella, the soft sided cooler and an awesome beach cart to get it to the beach. My only wish was for a couple bikes but we ended up renting. A 12 out of 10 in our book!!

The Gilly is a beautifully decorated home. The furnishings are functional, yet comfortable and stylish. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and basic seasonings. There was even champagne waiting for us in fridge! The beds were very comfortable and the linens crisp. We loved the fact that the owners provide beach gear, such as a cart, towels, 4 sturdy beach chairs, umbrella, and a soft-sided cooler. We appreciated that very much, as we flew to Georgia and would have had to purchase these items. Thank you for making our vacation a homey destination!

We were looking for a nice romantic getaway for our anniversary and this property was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed the nice comfy king size bed and loved the amenities and extras of this property. We used the beach cart, umbrella and beach chairs to spend a day at the beach which was nice. Overall we are very satisfied and I guess the only problem was the signage wasn’t visible until you nearly passed it. Which isn’t a big deal but worth a mention.

This is a wonderful condo, newly remodeled, sparkling clean, very short walk to East Beach. We enjoyed many hours on the deck/patio. 1 1/2 miles to the Village and pier. Easy drive to grocery stores. There for 5 weeks during the Covid shutdown but founds lots to do. Loved Zuzu's hamburgers and picnic lunch/dinner at the pier.

Superb location near the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. 2 story home which became a problem because of bad knees but this does not take away from its newly, very well done, re-decorated interior. A few mistakes like a smoke/fire alarm practically over the kitchen stove (activated each time you use the stove or even make toasts) and some sticky doors but these are minor problems when considering the beauty and comfort of the home. A brand new BBQ was definitely a plus.

I came out here for three weeks of work so I brought my baby girl and Mom out for a working/vacation. The Gilly was the perfect spot for both! The condo is so beautiful - we feel like we're living in a Pottery Barn Catalog. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, the comfy beds and all the design books. Even during two situations that were totally beyond your control, your team was VERY responsive and helpful. Can't wait to rent from y'all again!

We snuck away for a few days to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and could not have found a more relaxing place. The lovely decor and luxorious linens made the condo a delightful landing place after wonderful days on the bech and walks to dinner (Crab Daddy's) We hope to be back soon!

The condo was well furnished and had nice finishings. It has clearly gone through a recent update but still felt comfortable and an easy place to come into from the beach. Beds were comfortable and nice. My wife and I took one and our two kids (7 and 9) shared the other. The couch is fine but I would not plan on it being a place for someone to sleep. With our two kids and carrying all of our "stuff" it was probably a 5 minute walk to the beach - super easy and convenient. Crab Daddy's and Crab Shack both in easy walking distance. The Village is a little over a mile away. We walked it one night, and it was a scenic, lovely walk but hot. The condo came with a beach cart which was nice - never even got mine out of the car. It also had an umbrella and beach chairs which we did not use, but they looked newer and good quality. NO DVD player but all three TV's were SMART, so we could connect to our Netflix and Amazon. The back patio space was just fine, and we sat out there almost every night. Overall, would highly recommend! Overall, 5/5 stars for everything but location and would give it 4/5 just b/c it is not "right on the water."
