Carolyn's by the Sea

September was a lovely time to get away and celebrate a couple of birthdays. Three of us had a comfortable relaxing stay. Each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom. We made a few simple things, but enjoyed eating at the variety of local restaurants. Walking into town was easy, as was the short walk to the beach.

Really nice house close by the St Simons Pier. We easily walked to the pier, restaurants, Neptune Park etc... Beds were very comfortable and house was well maintained. Like most rentals the kitchen equipment was not great but the grill did work.

Beautiful home....met all of our needs. Quiet neighborhood close to all places we wanted to venture too.

We had a wonderful time here. The house was perfect for our needs and was located on a beautiful street close to the village and beach. The home is spacious and has a wide front porch with a lovely view of the surrounding live oak trees. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was provided. I wish we could have stayed longer!

A great home, loved the layout, location, it met all our needs. Open living room, kitchen and dining area made for convenient gatherings with the entire family. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Great location to restaurants and beaches. Would rent it again!

The home was cute and the location was perfect. Very nice, quiet street. Nice house but furniture/decor was dated and some items showed great wear and tear. Several stains on master bedroom carpet. Was nice that we could use the garage to store our rented golf cart, especially since it rained several times.

What an amazing location and property! Very well thought out and included everything our family of 4 and dog needed for the 2 weeks we were there! Walking distance (10 minutes) to downtown and some great food (and ice cream options). Walking distance to the beach (8 minutes). We enjoyed sitting on the front porch every evening. We would highly recommend this house and location. We will definitely be back!

Property is very well laid out. Perfect for 3 couples. Enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately it rained everyday of our vacation.

Carolyn by the Sea is a very nice, pet friendly house. The location is wonderful, close to East Beach, the Pier and downtown. The floorplan is excellent, the 2 chairs in the Great Room are fantastic! Wish I knew where to get them. And the front porch was heavenly, so comfortable.
On the down side: the house could have been cleaner, or perhaps it was just it's age showing. My biggest complaint is the bath towels. There were no extras. Only one hand towel to a bath. And the washcloths were frayed and thin. At home, these would be used as rags. And one was so gray looking, we didn't use it. Also, the tv in the Master was not working. It appeared to have no power to it. Our son who was staying at another location tried to find the problem also with no luck. I wonder if a manager checks out the rentals before the next guest arrives. I know that Lighthouse Rentals does that. Nice house but could have been better with a little extra care. You ask about the management company: we arrived on a Sunday and left on a Saturday so we never saw a person. We did not call about the tv or washcloths, just made due. Would I recommend this house? Yes, with conditions.

Overall experience was great! Kitchen utensils were a little scarce. Need a refresh on cooking utensils and tableware ....

We loved our stay, perfect location close to little shops and restaurants, great for walking the dogs and enjoying the ocean breeze.
Short 5 minute drive to our favorite East beach.
The property is a bit dated but clean and very charming.
Absolutely recommend for families with little kids and pets.
