We had a wonderful stay in SSI....the home was perfect, its location was perfect, and we loved the downtown area!

I haven't rented through Real Escapes in a few years, but I was quickly reminded how great they are. Their service is wonderful and their houses/units are always excellent. Thanks for a great vacation!

We stayed at the home 10 years before this past week. Still a great place to stay.

Such a great location, close to the beach with easy parking! Yet, not in a high traffic area like some of the other cottages! The balconies are perfect for people watching, early am tea/coffee, evening cocktails, all while overlooking a view of the marsh! The house is adorable and well stocked with plenty of cooking utensils. Close to the village for easy access to shopping and restaurants. Love the beachy décor and sea fan theme. Make sure to rent bikes and enjoy touring the Island under the shaded canopy of the stunning Live Oaks and Spanish Moss!!

Very good. Very nice place. It needs a better showerhead upstairs. Everything else was perfect.

I really loved the house, especially since each room had it’s own bathroom. The location was perfect. There were some issues: the dishwasher was broken so we had to hand wash everything (On our vacation! Boo). Then there was barely any dishwasher soap and no paper towels. The ice maker in the refrigerator wasn’t working either. I would rent here again but I would hope, for the price, we would have all the amenities. Also, it’s usually a courtesy to at least have some coffee on site. Needless to say, I had to run out to the grocery store twice unexpectedly. The management did respond quickly to our call to get us paper towels and dish soap.

This was our second time to stay at Meridian. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Real Escape Properties! This management company is truly top notch! Julie went above and beyond with her response to an issue with the house and really cared that we were having a great vacation. This small-town hands-on service delivers big and we hope to use them for all our trips. We have been coming to SSI every summer since 1994 and we will be back for many years to come. We have rented through just about every mgmt company over the years. The low deposit and flexibility and top notch service make them my favorite to do business with. As far as the property it fits for our current family situation perfectly... We have two adult children each w/a spouse but no children yet. The 3 King Beds is perfect! This area of St.Simons allows you to walk to the beach and Coast Cottages has a pool right at the board walk which is great..also there is a bathroom at the pool so very convienent, no need to go all the way back to your house. We could tell that the property had just sold since some details weren't as great as our last stay. Could really use some better pillows for the beds and some newer bath towels. We hear that the new owner will be sprucing everything up later this summer. It has a great kitchen - we love the refrigerator with the water bottle filler. It's a great house in a perfect location.

I love the coastal cottages development and always like to stay here...the pool, the wide beach, the charm are great. Meridian cottage is lovely and cozy...there is a bit of too big furniture in the dining area but we made it work. The design and furnishings were lovely. It took us a while to find the beach stuff under the house..there is a wagon, umbrella, boogie boards, a chair..wish we had known earlier. Glad we brought stuff with us as previous reviewers suggested...trash bags, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid for pots and pans, filtered water, coffee, etc. overall we loved it and would return.Meridian was at the end of the walk and very quiet which we appreciated..

My family of 5 loved our stay at Meridian Cottage. The house is nicely laid out and well decorated with a homey feel. We spent days at the beach and pools, and evenings on the second storey porch under the shade of the overhanging tree and overlooking the peaceful marsh.

The home is perfectly situated along east beach, just a short walk to the pools and the boardwalk to the beach, and bike ride away from the shops and restaurants at St. Simons Pier. We rented bikes and virtually never had to drive anywhere on island for the week.

The rental agents at Real Escapes were extremely helpful, and check-in/out was simple.

It was an amazing week, and we're already planning our return next year!

Overall, we had a great stay at Meridian Cottage. Great location near the Village and the beach, and the pool access was a huge plus. They don't provide some supplies that I feel should come standard with vacation rentals, such as small shampoo and conditioners and trash bags. There are also check out instructions to start a load of towels, but they do not supply laundry detergent. One of the dishwasher racks was broken so we had to rig it to run a load (they did provide dishwasher detergent). Lastly, cleanliness could have been better.

Overall, the size, location, and amenities at this rental trumped the areas for improvement. I would recommend this property to a friend and would stay here again.

The Meridian Cottage is a well-appointed cottage within walking distance to the beach and a bike ride near restaurants / shops. The home was comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. The home was cleaned, but could use some attention to detail; the top rack of dishwasher inoperable, the microwave wouldn't heat, only on beverage cycle for 10 seconds and there were lights out in bathroom sconces and ceiling. The downstairs A/C felt warm, so we took out the air filter which was in definite need of a change. (IMO, Items such as this should be taken care of between stays). Five of us stayed and having 3 beds / baths were great. Plenty of room to sit, actually the abundant of furniture in downstairs BR & LR is not needed. The community pool is within walking distance and so nice, and clean...and the beach beyond that. The two porches are a plus, if you can handle mosquitoes! :) Overall, I would stay here again. It's a great place for family / friends and a great community too! Some things just need a little attention to at the moment, that's all! Thanks so much! We had a great time!

We have been coming to St. Simons Island for 30 years and have stayed in several of the Coast Cottages. We love this location! I have stayed on the "main strip" of the Coast Cottages and this year we opted for the Meridian Cottage--why didn't we stay here sooner? Perfect! We loved the location! It is a quiet little road which is what we love. We walked to the beach every day and it wasn't a haul even with 2 babies. I have already booked our vacation for next year at the Meridian Cottage. There is more than enough room for everyone to have their space. Our children were able to have the downstairs for themselves and their babies while we enjoyed the upstairs bedroom which is massive and oh so comfortable. The front porch was delightful in the morning for coffee and in the evening when winding down. The only downside was the microwave. Apparently they know it isn't working properly because when we contacted the office about it they said we needed to add 1 minute to the cook time because it doesn't work until after 1 minute. There isn't a sign saying that or any indication that it isn't working properly so maybe the microwave needs to be replaced or at least let the renters know that there is a known issue. It would cut down on phone calls I am sure because I was told immediately that they knew it was an issue. Regardless, we are staying next year and cannot wait! Thank you for the beautiful vacation!! We still travel to SSI even though we have moved to Virginia so we can enjoy the Golden Isles of Georgia.

Meridian Cottage fit our needs perfectly for my family. It is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well appointed. There is a Keurig as well as a coffee maker (we didn't use the Keurig), but would've if we'd known ahead of our visit. It is nicely updated, too.

I watched these cottages being built. Finally got to stay. As convenient and well equipped as my home. I packed some electronics for the stay - didn’t unpack them. Everything needed was there.

Stayed here with family for a week and absolutely loved it! Beautiful, clean house with plenty of room for the amount of people we had. Especially loved spending time on the 2nd floor porch. We loved coming back to this gorgeous house after a day on the beach and will definitely be back next year!

Home was as described. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Would have liked to have seen some beach chairs, towels and cooler. Can’t bring those items when flying in.
Location was great. Easy walk to pool and beach. Easy to ride bikes and walk in this area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Meridian Cottage. It had a perfect layout and was clean upon arrival. The walk to the beach was easy and safe. During our time there, our AC, Dishwasher, and Coffee pot all had problems. I think it was all coincidental that it happened all in one week. That being said, the AC was fixed immediately and the Dishwasher was fixed a day later. The coffee pot leaked water, but. brewed coffee fine, so we ended up just putting the water in and immediately turning it on instead of preparing it the night before. None of these things made our stay bad. The staff at Real Escapes were polite and very helpful. We would absolutely book the Meridian cottage again and stay in SSI again!

Fun time at the beach and a very nice house. THe location was great just a block from the beach in a very nice area! Very good pool area and secure area. the beach was excellent and plenty of room to enjoy. We enjoyed it very much and booked again for next year.

The Meridian was perfect for our family! It was so comfortable and easily accessible. The parking was great and the decor was beautiful. This will be a place we rent again.

We really enjoyed our time at Meridian Cottage. Very beautiful furnishings and layout for privacy for all. Best part is the two porches with swings. Pools were great as well - a short walk away. They could use a new coffeepot and a few other repairs but mostly all good.

We decided to take a last minute trip to the beach. Real Escapes Properties were very professional and timely. I called them last minute and they found us the perfect property steps from the beach. Our family enjoyed their stay and the comforts of this well suited home.

We had family and grandchildren and couldn't have been happier. We will be returning again for another summer vacation.

We stayed in Coast Cottages & really enjoyed our experience. The location was great, just 1 1/2 blocks from the beach & ocean. The house provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend Real Escapes to anyone wanting a great vacation!

The Meridian Cottage is a tastefully decorated, comfortable and functional house. It fits our family needs beautifully.

We always enjoy staying at Meridian when we come to St. Simons. It's a terrific beach house and East end of the island is best location at St. Simons.

My vacation rental experience was great from start to finish. The staff was excellent.Brooke gave us great information on all the eateries and there locations. The home was beautiful and very relaxing. It had everything we needed for cooking. What an AMAZING property! We will come back.

Love SSI! Our first time and we will be back! Our house had a wonderful second floor porch shaded by a tree for privacy. Enjoyed watching the rain storm. Fun riding our bikes in the neighborhoods and to the village. Beach and pool convenient to walk or ride to.

Another wonderful experience with Real Escapes Properties. You all do it right! We've stayed at the Meridian several times before, but not since it was remodeled. What a beautiful renovation! Still has a beach cottage feel, but is now more luxurious. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. Everyone said they slept very well. The living area was also a relaxing place to hang out and watch football.

We have rented Meridian several times now. Of all the houses we have stayed at on East Beach at St. Simons this is our favorite. This house accommodates a family or couples who want to share a house. It's especially nice since owner refurnished a couple of years ago. We really enjoy the front porches that look over to East Beach and the ocean.

This lovely cottage is near the beach and the amenities of Coast Cottages, including the two pools. House is beautifully decorated, and was perfect for my family! The staff at Real Escapes was fantastic, and very helpful. Will definately be back.

I love the fact that the rental already has bikes available for the guests. One of my favorite things to do is bike around the island so it made it very convinient!!

I loved the modern look of the cottage. this is a great place for 3 couples because the place has all king beds and all private restrooms.

It was another terrific stay at a Coastal cottage. Really like the inside renovation at Meridian as we had stayed there before. Definitely would rent Meridian again. Staff at Real Escapes has always been great to work with on renting a vacation place at St. Simons. Have worked with Jan since we first started renting at Coastal Cottages, it's always an enjoyable experience.

In love with St Simons Island! Arrived in the middle of the night and as promised the keys to the cottage were waiting. What an incredible surprise to walk in to the Meridian Cottage, much more beautiful than words or pictures can describe. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly from the property management company to the shop owners on the island to the guests staying in Coastal Cottages. Loved it and will be back next year :-)

The first week required some assistance to get our Wi-Fi and cable service as we wanted it. It also required some assistance getting what we needed to keep the place clean over the period of time we were staying. After that we settled in to enjoy our stay here for the month.

This cottage was very clean. We loved that all bedrooms had a king size bed. Most that we checked on had twin beds in the 3rd bedroom which doesn't work with all adults. Only negative was not enough towels. wash clothes for 6 people. If you like to watch tv at night there are none in the 2 bedrooms downstairs.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Meridian Cottage. The place was clean and well appointed (charming was the word used) and we loved the fact that the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.
