The Pink House

3 bedroom, 2ba, with fenced yard and pet friendly!! Older home on Kings Way with lots of traffic. House needs upgrades but is comfortable and has good HVAC. Beautiful back yard with deck and lots of plants and a gas grill. Working FP which we enjoyed! Ideal for 2 families-split bdroom plan.

Great location

Very good stay. The essentials were stocked well. Thw bed sheets had grit in the master and some minor cosmetic, visual asthetics with broken windows. Over all, would recommend and return in the future. Thank you!

This was the third or fourth year in a row that we have rented for a vacation. We have enjoyed every one. Especially being so close to the village and the pier.

The management company was attentive. The house was clean, but the property was in terrible shape. It needs a huge amount of work. In addition, there was nothing provided. We had to buy soap, coffee, you name it, it wasn't there. I own vacation rentals, and this is the first time I have stayed at a place including my own, with absolutely no supplies, expect a role of toilet paper and 1 roll of papertowels. The house was in need of repairs and not taken care of. This is the third time you wanted a review, and the third time I am sending it.

This property is great! The location is super close to the beach to walk to all the shops and the pier. There's a lot of room for 5 adults to spread out and still have personal space. Our dogs enjoyed having a fenced in yard to explore. Property is very clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The property management team was great. I was greeted and informed of the main attractions in the area. The only reason for the one 4 star is the outside of the residence is dated. It had no affect on the quality of the visit. I would recommend and stay again if we were to visit in the future.

Pros big house close to the village. Bed’s where comfortable and linens were nice as well. Full kitchen and all appliances worked as expected. Spacious deck. Cons house needs maintenance. Air filters were clogged wooden floors need to be replaced or refinished. Floors still had a lot of pet hair on them. Yards over grown and several cracked windows. Also there wasn’t a mirror in the master bathroom. Believe we found it later in one of the bedrooms. Probably won’t stay again.

Easy walk to the pier, shopping and food! Large rooms, kitchen recently updated, a few new pieces of furniture. Would do it again -absolutely!

We had a great stay! The house is cozy and very private, despite being walking distance to all the sites and restaurants!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Pink House and would not hesitate to return. We've visited St. Simo many times and this property is the most convenient to everything in the village. It is very spacious, with a practical layout, clean and has comfortable bedding and furniture. The house has wonderful "bones" and would welcome some "refreshing" of the exterior and landscaping.

This cottage is somewhat dated but clearly is being updated as only time (or money) permits. If I owned this, I would take one month of solid work to fix everything. New paint is needed throughout as there are different shades of tan/white everywhere. The wood floors need replacing as they are water damaged near the entrances. Pink House is in serious need of a deep cleaning, especially the A/C ducts and ventilation, as dirt can be seen on the ceilings and bathroom vent/fan. (Easy fixes in my opinion). The main shower is fantastic (although it needs a door), the Jack & Jill bathroom, not so great and is super dated. Very nice TV's, very comfy furniture and beds. Kitchen remodel is in process. Landscaping in the back needs to be fixed as the bamboo is totally out of control and takes-up half the yard. The deck has been power washed one too many times and needs NOT go onto that deck barefoot. We were bug free except for one day near the end of the stay and we kicked the bug out the front door (expected in the deep south). Overall, we felt the price was very good for a location so close to the pier...literally a 2-minute walk. The downside is being on the main highway (Kings Way), not ideal for backing out of the driveway. Once inside, you cannot hear much traffic. Overall, we liked the Pink House much more by the end of our stay vs. our first day or two. We'd "probably" rent again, but only after we knew for sure that all upgrades and cleanings have been made.

This home is in the perfect location! It was much larger than it appeared and the fenced in backyard was a plus for our pup. The weather was unusually cold and with the old windows and doors the home was somewhat cold inside. That being said it was clean and comfortable and although it can use some updates we will rent again.

This is a big house and is nicely decorated. It could definitely use some work but damaged hardwood floors didn’t affect my vacation. The shower with no shower curtain is because it’s one of those large showers where you don’t need a shower curtain. You can even dry off after a shower with older towels. Towels and wash cloths were plentiful. The house is in a great location. It is within walking distance of the village. It is an older home and could use a facelift but it’s very roomy. We had a good vacation and Real Eacapes is always great to work with if there is a problem. If you don’t mind an older house with a few flaws but in a great location this would be a good choice.

This house is convenient to everything from the beaches to restaurants and the village, pier and Neptune Park. The rooms are so spacious but you have to not mind the exterior not being perfect. We truly loved the house!

This is our 5th or 6th stay at the pink house. It needs updating to be a top tier property. There are a couple of spots where the wood floor has rotted and no one has cleaned the ceiling fan blades in years. The location is what has had us coming back but I don't know that we will rent again.

Our stay at the Pink House was enjoyable, thanks in large part to the wonderful weather in St. Simon's Island in October. It's also a great location. That's where the good stops however. The house could use some serious updating. Just a few thousand dollars would go a long way to make it a more enjoyable home for a longer getaway. The beds are old and hard. The bathrooms and kitchen very outdated. There is a smell coming from the bathroom that seems to be a plumbing issue. Thankfully we brought our own bedding and cleaning supplies so we didn't have to use the sheets, towels, and pillows provided. It's probably an Ok house for a stay of a few days but we stayed for 2 weeks and couldn't wait to get home to our comfortable beds. A small investment in crtical upgrades would go a log way. Better mattresses and linens, bathrooms, kitchen supplies, and a gardener, in that order of preference, would be welcome improvements.

There was a mix up with our original reservation, but the company was quick to rectify the situation. The home was in a PERFECT location...walking distance to shops and the beach. The home was mostly clean inside...the outside needed some TLC, but overall I would recommend this property...especially for a large group or family.

Location and layout of house was perfect. And a great place for pets. However, cleaning needs to improve. Washer and dryer need attention, and big windows in family room need cleaning

Very convenient to SSI Pier Village. A bit outdated but clean and comfortable. The separation of the bedrooms made it easy for each of us to have our own space.

This house is a neat place. It was clean and comfortable on the inside. It had a great A/C (big thing for me, especially down there with all that humidity). The bathrooms were good, especially the front bathroom, if you have folks that are challenged mobility-wise. The kitchen was a good size and clean. There were just a couple of little things that need to be fixed. #1) Your doorknob and lock leading out the back porch/pergola area are jacked up - no other way to describe them. My husband and I could not get back into the house when we walked out there. And when we had walked out, I know I had not locked that back door. We had to call Real Escapes to come out and give us another key. And when we came in, we were absolutely sure I had not locked the door. After that episode, we did not attempt going back out there, which was sad. It's a nice porch and pergola. So please get that fixed. :-)That area is too nice not be used. The washer could also use a quick cleaning. It's a front loader, and I could see a bit of mold on the door and door ring when we used it. Other than that, the house just needs a little TLC in paint, and fixing the area near the front of door to keep folks from tripping. Otherwise, this was a good place. Real Escapes accommodated us with this rental after our original rental was no longer available just shy of two weeks prior to our arrival. Very helpful and gave us same rate even though this was a higher price per night. Tully was very helpful and took care of all the transferring of the rental. We enjoyed how simple and spacious the home was. It is also pet friendly so we were able to still bring our doggie. The back is fenced in so that was a great help due to being on a busy road. Plenty of room for 5 guests and a pet. This home is located just around the corner from all the restaurants, shops, and pier, which out teens loved. Golf cart friendly and short 1 mile ride to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable. It could use an upgrade on the mattresses and grill. I am a general contractor so I could see several things to do to upgrade the home property but overall it was great for our purposes. We greatly enjoyed our short stay. Thanks Tully.

We had a great time in SSI. I really liked the Pink House. The only problem we had was the oven door was broken. It needed new hinges. It was not repaired during the week we were there, but the Real Escapes people went out and got us a very nice toaster oven that worked fine. Everything else was great.

This house is very spacious and in a great location. Outside needs some TLC but overall a nice place. Good size bedrooms and the dining/living room is open and large. Lots of windows throughout! Walking distance to restaurants, shops and pier. Will def rent this place on my next visit back home!

The Pink House didn't look like much from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised with the inside. It was clean and very comfortable. I also liked the phone call "touching base" with me before I left. Very professional and customer service oriented. Great job!

This was our first time visiting St Simons Island. Real Escape Properties was a dream to work with! From the first phone call to check out, all staff were beyond friendly and made the entire process a breeze!

The Pink House was perfect for our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location is PRIME! Just a few steps away from The Village and just a short drive from the beach. We would say the outside could use some updating, but other than that, everything was PERFECT! Highly recommend using Real Escape Properties!

We loved this house, we had everything we needed. It was light, bright and beachy, and had comfortable king beds. We walked to restaurants, shopping and the pier in just minutes! The location can’t be beat if you enjoy going into the village. We would definitely rent here again.

The week was very good .. the sewage problem was solved. Other than that we had a very fine week and are looking forward to next year. We had to cut our stay short.unfortunately because my brother had an heart attack. He had a very close call. ,, but now hs better. Many thanks for your excellent accommodations. Blessings!

The living room area was big and would be good for those traveling with families. The backyard has potential but could use some updating/fixing up. The patio furniture that was there wasn't very inviting and I did not utilize it like I thought I would. Overall a good place to stay.

The location is amazing and the split floor plan is perfect for families. We were able to take our dog with us and the backyard was secure for our small 5 lb Lily. The outside of the house has not been updated but the inside is modern.

Yes this is it. Walk to town. Very short drive to beach. We were a party of five with different game plans and everyone was VERY satisfied with the location of the house as well as the quaintness of the Pink House. Everything was perfect from check in to check out (other than not wanting to leave). Definitely am coming back and hopefully staying at The Pink House!

We had a great stay! The location of this house is excellent.

The Pink House is a quaint house with an excellent location convenient to the village and pier. Restaraunts and shopping are a short walk, and the beach is just a bit farther. Its a great place for anyone with a dog, as the backyard is fully fenced and very private. The furniture is older and a little worn, but typical of a rental property. My only complaint was that there was a bit of mold in one of the bathrooms, and my elderly family members went home with sinus infections after a two week stay. I will say that the staff at Real escapes is absolutely fantastic. I told them about my concerns with the mold on the day I checked out and they promised to go right to the house and inspect it. I will definitely rent from Real Escapes again!

Stayed 4 nights for a fishing trip. Fishing was good and Pink House was very good choice to relax in before walking to the village for dinner. The interior was very clean and the furnishings were functional. On the exterior the building could use some TLC: peeling paint, dirty windows, spider webs and unkept landscaping. Overall, not premium, but a good buy for the price.

Overall, it was good. There were only a couple things I was concerned about:

1) The main light in one of the guest bedrooms is out. I have been there since June 17th or so and it has not been fixed yet.

2) The owner has MINIMUM basic cable - no HBO/SHOWTIME/CINEMAX etc.

3) There is not a lot of DRESSER space in these rooms. That is not so bad for someone who is going to stay here for a few days. But for a FLETC person (who is here 6 months or more) - it is not ideal.
