Shipwatch 200

Shipwreck 200 has become a family favorite! After a great stay in 2022, it was a no brainer to return again! The condo itself is perfectly maintained. The decor is homey and beautiful and just the right amount of beachy without being cheesy! And although it’s a bit of a hike to the beach, it’s about as good as it gets on the island. St. Simons is quiet and family friendly. Shipwreck is conveniently located to the beach, the downtown and grocery shopping. I know we will be returning next year!

We absolutely loved Shipwatch #200! Great condo, lovely decor, clean and cozy. Great views and beach access! The Real Escapes staff are very kind and helpful! Highly recommend!!

We have been coming to St Simons for years and this was our first stay at Shipwatch. Upon arrival my daughter exclaimed how clean the condo was! The condo was beautiful and met our needs for 3 people. We loved being able to see the dunes and the sea from our windows and the porch. As the lot across from our porch is wooded we had great privacy and enjoyed bird watching. We recommend this condo and property. The pool was tended daily and the landscaping beautiful!

We have stayed at Shipwatch in unit 200 for over 20 years. We love the view and the comfort of the Condo. We have dealt with Real Escapes Properties since they opened. They are professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. We look to many more stays in unit 200 and working with the people at Real Escapes Properties.

This condo is a hidden gem. The owners have done a great job with updating the unit with tasteful touches details. The only suggestion is perhaps consider an opaque shade for the secondary bedroom. Passers-by can see in that room when the light is on. A small thing - but one that should be resolved. Overall - great stay and weekend.

Perfect room that exceeded our expectations! It was great being able to sit at dining table and see ocean and pool. Will definitely try to book this one again. The only thing was we couldn’t figure out how to operate ceiling fan in living room-old people problems-need instructions in room. Room was comfortable without it though.

We come to SSI every year and this year was no exception. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation.
The condo is perfect for us. It’s beautifully decorated, close to everything.

This condo on St. Simons Island is a perfect retreat for 2 or 3 persons. It is quiet, sunny, well-decorated and fully furnished. Our rental process was stressless. We enjoyed our interactions with the very helpful folks at the agency. We have reserved for next year.

We really enjoyed this rental. It was perfect for two people as there were two separate bedrooms and two separate full baths. I was surprised how well stocked the kitchen was and really loved the drip/pod Kurig combo. IT appears to have been recently renovated. There was a view of the ocean from the terrace which was a plus. I would highly recommend this place.

The condo was centrally located and had everything we needed. Only complaint we had was we could not get the TV in Master bedroom to work. Said it wasn't connected to network.

The location is convenient. It is in walking distance to the pier and many wonderful restaurants.

February to March 8, 2020: Weather was cool, rainy or overcast the entire month except for two or three days. Enjoyed our first year at Shipwatch 200. ILoved the always present view. Ite is quite small but very pleasant and clean. While I usually enjoy cooking, I found the kitchen inadequate for any real cooking. No glass casserole to bake fish or shrimp or any other thing. No large bowls, only one salad bowl which seemed to be part of the decor rather than for kitchen use. Enjoyed carry-out meals from Harris Teeter and Uncle Dons. Signed up for Feb. 2021 & will enjoy it.

This newly renovated condo was even more spacious than we expected. It was clean and updated with all the comforts of home. It is a corner unit with a gorgeous view of the ocean, perfect for watching the sunrise from the balcony.

Lovely unit. great location. The property management company was very helpful. The check-in process was quick and easy. I would stay there again.

Always nice to relax on St. Simons Island. The Master bed is too soft for my liking. Need more hangers in Master bath closet. The dishwasher is not secure, when you open it, it comes forward at you. The oven's bottom drawer comes unhinged when you open it. The people above you in Shipwatch 300 sound like elephants.

WE have stayed in #200 before, but the new decor is SO pleasing!! We were disturbed about the condition of the deck/balcony. It was obvious that no one had tended to it for several days (maybe even weeks) with all of the debris collected on it. Love the remodeled bathrooms. Yes, we will be back.

Perfect 80 degree days with gentle winds off the Atlantic ocean with no obnoxious crowds whatsoever, doesn't sound too bad does it. St. Simons Island, GA, is the place and its southern charm is just plain relaxing. Tasty, diverse food to enjoy, plenty of available tee times and gorgeous evenings for walks along the beach to be mesmerized by all the stars up in the sky. Cannot wait to go back. Don't tell anybody, it's our secret. The Shipwatch 200 condo is small was perfect for three. The people above are loud when they are around and those facts are true.

overall we had an excellent experience. Shipwatch 200 was very clean, there were more than adequate linens, and the beds were comfortable. Neither bath had TP holders and both the toilets are the smallest and cheapest we had ever seen, but showers were large and comfortable to use. one of the deck chairs is an accident waiting to happen, and the living room chair is extremely uncomfortable. parking areas are all super tight, so leave your full size vehicles at home. Rental staff was very good and when we had a TV die, they repaired it the same day.

We loved staying in our cute condo at 200 Shipwatch on our recent trip to St. Simons. it was just the right size for the three of us who stayed there. It was decorated perfectly for the beach and was very comfortable. The views of the pool area and the beach beyond were wonderful. We will definitely try to stay in this same condo on our next trip to St. Simons!

This is a newly renovated unit. The very best thing about it is the view of the beach, the sea, and the sunrises. Not a day went by, sunny or rainy when I didn't relish the location of this unit. The interior decor is very light and pleasant. The bed in the master is very comfortable. The TV set up is outstanding.I will always look back on this as a very special time on St. Simons Island.

Wonderful Condo. Loved seeing beautiful sunrise every morning. Cable set up is outstanding. Furnishings attractive and comfortable. Tasteful decor. Only two complaints: very poor lighting for reading after sunset, and sliding door in living room very difficult to move for first five inches. Would stay again without hesitation. Love walking right out to beach. Weather was unusually cold and cloudy but condo always bright and welcoming. Highly recommend,

Older 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo was ideal for my one week stay on St Simons by myself. Gated community. Great views of ocean and beach. Direct, gated access to the beach for morning walks. Nice deck for relaxing to the sounds of the ocean. Small kitchen was fine for the amount of time I was there as I only ate breakfast in. There's an apartment sized washer-dryer in the second bedroom that worked out nicely. Rental company (Real Escapes) is great to work with. This was not the condo I had reserved, but it was a great replacement.

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. It is ocean front, very large pool and covered parking. The condo was clean and comfortable but it could use fresh paint and a few repairs to the walls, nothing that affecting our stay.

While we loved the location, the condition of the unit was unacceptable. There was dirt and empty bottles under the bed, the micro-wave had had a fire in it, the sliding door did not open, missing light bulbs, etc. There was an abundance of black mold on the shower walls, ceiling and shower curtain in one of the bathrooms. Also, the entire bathroom was very dingy (sink and toilet).

More seating is required in the living room - in addition to the sofa, there was only one wicker chair which was broken. There was an insufficient number of bowls and cups

The decorating and linens were lovely and the openness of the unit is very attractive. It just needs to be thoroughly cleaned and the bathroom needs to be updated.

This is a very nice unit with beautiful view of the ocean. Decor was charming. Sliding door from living room can barely be moved--needs more than lubrication. Needs new bed linens for master bedroom. Would happily stay there again.

Although the weather was a little chilly for late September, we enjoyed our stay. Our 5-year-old grandson did not want to leave "my beach" to go anywhere!!

SHIPWATCH HAS EVOVLED GREATLY OVER THE QUARTER OF A CENTURY WE HAVE SOUGHT THE SUN AND SAND AT THE GEORGIA COAST---BUT WAS NEVER SO WELL GROOMED AND CLEAN AS OUR VISIT THIS WEEK---IT IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO BECOME A FAMILY LIVING ON "ISLAND TIME"--- AND OH!
